The design studio was launched in 2011, and since then the business has grown from a ‘one man show’ to a team of 20 staff. Christopher’s extensive travel, research and training in the arts and design fields informs every project, providing lighting pieces with narratives of understated luxury.
New methods and material exploration continue daily in the Fitzroy studio, using a broad variety of techniques with a diverse team of artisans, amongst them glass blowers, copper smiths, ceramicists, sculptors, and bronze casters. All products are handmade with love and care

Originally inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s geodesic Biosphère for the Montreal 1967 exposition, BUCKY VITRINE re-materialises this classic Christopher Boots fixture. Light is diffused through the geometric surface of ribbed sheet glass providing subtle gradations of transparency. Exploring both the natural and industrial, BUCKY VITRINE is a subtle inquiry into geometry.
METEOR implements a gradation of smokey to clear natural quartz conveying the dynamism and movement of cosmic matter plummeting to earth. Light emanates through the crystals providing a dramatic warm glow through the use of LED technology. Meteors slash through the sky, dazzling all who witness their strangeness.
Dating back to 3000 BC, the abacus is a sophisticated tool still in use today. Sliding stones across a rod, Ancient Greek statesman, merchants and mathematicians were able to calculate simple and complex equations using this tool. ABACUS investigates this simple and loaded gesture.
